Pediatric Dentistry In San Antonio, TX
If your child is feeling any dental discomfort, we'll turn their frowns into smiles with our swift and gentle care

What To Expect On Your First Visit
During your child's first visit, our dental team will introduce themselves and show your child all the instruments that will be used. We will also emphasize the importance of preventive home care skills to maintain healthy and strong teeth.
For children around the age of 4, we may take radiographs for the first time and conduct a comprehensive exam and cleaning at their own pace.
For children under 3 years old, we typically do not take radiographs. Instead, these visits focus on parental interview, dietary counseling, oral hygiene instruction, and habit cessation. The cleaning and exam will be done using the "knee-to-knee" style, where the child is placed on the parent's lap with their head on the dentist's lap. Although some children may fuss during this process, rest assured that nothing will harm them.
Our entire team will continuously reassure your child and may even sing to help them feel more comfortable.

We are available to assist you
If your child is experiencing a toothache, a cracked tooth, a lost filling, a missing crown, a knocked-out tooth, swelling, bleeding, or any other dental emergency, our team is available to offer the required care.

We're at your child's pace
Our goal is to ensure that our patients leave our office feeling happy. Having pleasant visits is crucial for children as it helps them build trust and confidence that will have a lasting impact. If any additional treatment is needed, we will discuss it with you and schedule it for a later date.
Our objective is to establish a strong and direct connection with your child, aiming to quickly earn their trust. We have observed that children tend to react more positively when given the opportunity to be independent.
It is important not to get upset if your child cries. It is common for children to feel scared or anxious when faced with something new or unfamiliar, and crying is a natural response to fear. To support your child during future visits, it is helpful to provide positive and encouraging words, such as "You showed great bravery today" or "Getting your teeth counted was easier than you thought." These affirmations will assist your child in their subsequent visits.
Our goal is to ensure that every visit to our office is enjoyable and entertaining!
